Dear Parents/Guardians
In the event of inclement weather this year we would like to send out this letter with information regarding the pick-up of students during inclement weather days. The plan at TES for inclement weather days will be as follows:
All students will remain in the building in designated areas at 3:55. Students will not wait outside during inclement weather.
The pick-up locations will remain the same during inclement weather days.
Pre-K & Kindergarten will continue to be picked up by the cafeteria.
1st & 2nd grade will wait in the front lobby of the school until called
3rd - 5th grade will be held in the New Gym until called.
Staff members will be stationed outside to meet parents in their cars. (The colored nameplates will be helpful during inclement weather days.)
TES staff members will radio for the student(s) to be released. (Three separate radio channels will be used to minimize talking over the other groups)
Parents will be allowed to walk to the designated holding area to pick up their child or children if they have parked.
Procedures for siblings to be placed together will remain the same, with the only change being that students will remain inside.
While we understand this process will take a longer time than normal pick-up, we believe it is in the best interest and safety of our students at Tulia Elementary.

En caso de mal tiempo este año, nos gustaría enviar esta carta con información sobre la recogida de los estudiantes durante los días de mal tiempo. El plan en TES para los días de mal tiempo será el siguiente:
1. Todos los estudiantes permanecerán en el edificio en áreas designadas a las 3:55. Los estudiantes no esperarán afuera durante el mal tiempo.
2. Los lugares de recogida seguirán siendo los mismos durante los días de mal tiempo.
Pre-K y Kindergarten continuarán siendo recogidos por la cafetería.
1.° y 2.° grado esperarán en el vestíbulo de la escuela hasta que se les llame.
Los grados 3 a 5 se llevarán a cabo en el gimnasio nuevo hasta que sean llamados.
3. Los miembros del personal estarán estacionados afuera para reunirse con los padres en sus carros. (Las placas de identificación de colores serán útiles durante los días de mal tiempo).
4. Los miembros del personal de TES llamarán por radio para que los estudiantes sean liberados. (Se usarán tres canales de radio separados para minimizar hablar sobre los otros grupos)
5. Los padres podrán caminar hasta el área de espera designada para recoger a su hijo o hijos si se han estacionado.
6. Los procedimientos para colocar a los hermanos juntos seguirán siendo los mismos, con el único cambio de que los estudiantes permanecerán a dentro.
Si bien entendemos que este proceso tomará más tiempo que la recogida normal, creemos que es lo mejor para los intereses y la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes en la Primaria Tulia.
