Tulia ISD announces acceptance of nomination for the Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The Hall of Fame recognizes alumni, faculty, and staff who have demonstrated notable accomplishments or provided significant contributions to their school, community, or society.
Each year a committee will select from those nominated to be inducted into the Tulia ISD Hall of Fame. The inductees include: Class of 2012 - Mary Lou Chapa, Mildred Hulsey, Marsha Sharp, W.V. Swinburn, and Wes Stark; Class of 2013 - Elvin Howell and Dennis Wilks; Class of 2014 - Dorothy Boyett and Van Latham; Class of 2015 – Don Campbell, Gorden Gatewood, and Tori Irlbeck Marnell; Class of 2016 –Dolores Carruth and Bud Roberts; Class of 2017 – Bill Dawson and Juanelva Rose; Class of 2018 – George Bozeman, John Clayton, and Doug Travis; Class of 2019 – Joe Clayton and Matthew Hudson. Class of 2020 – N/A. Class of 2021 – George James, III and John Loftin. Class of 2022 – N/A; Class of 2023 – Mary Williams, Vivek Patel, and Twila Whitten; Class of 2024 – Roy Miller and Fred Richards, III. Anyone may nominate a person by submitting a Hall of Fame nomination form which is available at the Tulia ISD administration building, 300 N Dallas. The form is also available to download and print from the Tulia ISD web page www.tuliaisd.net .
In order to be considered a nominee must be a graduate of Tulia ISD and/or a former staff or faculty member of Tulia ISD. Nominees who are former students must have graduated at least ten years prior to nomination. Nominees who are former faculty or staff must have served Tulia ISD as an employee for at least ten years and must have been separated from employment with Tulia ISD for at least five years prior to the nomination. Nominees, if selected, must be present (or have a representative available, if honoree is deceased) on the day of induction to accept the award and present a short speech to the student and community audience.
The 2025 Tulia ISD Hall of Fame will be inducted May 05, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at the Tulia High School auditorium. Deadline for nomination is February 28, 2025. For more information contact Tulia ISD administration, at 806-995-4591. Please click here for more information.
